Our good friend Lion Ben from Ceredigion Invictus Lions visits his home in the Northern Philippines regularly.
Ben was concerned why children and adults were suffering from blindness and dying. Ben supplied medicine to those in the area but to no avail. On one trip he was visiting the area he was asked if he would like a glass of water, being hot he said yes please. A young girl took a glass to the river bank and brought back a murky glass of water, Ben did not drink it. They followed the river up stream and he found women washing clothes in the river, further along cattle were bathing and contaminating the water
Problem solved
Ben set about organising the installation of pump wells. Many have been donated by Lions in the UK Porthcawl, Tetbury, Ammanford and Gower
Following is the work of our club
Our first Pump Well
A joint project with Ammanford Lions

A Legacy Project in memory of the clubs family
Doreen Harries Feb 1934 - May 2020
After the sad passing of Doreen in 2020 only a small number could attend her funeral due to Covid Restrictions. In leu of flowers, donations were requested to help buy a pump well in her name.
Family and friends were so generous we were able to provide a Pump well, a bank of washbasins and a smart television. Providing these facilities that were much needed upgraded the school by the authorities which gave them a larger allowance to use for their education
Siting the Washbasins the foundations
9 washbasins and 1 disable friendly
Sister Mac who oversees the
College, cares with her team of Nuns the Lola's and the garden area growing vegetables
